OTHER NEWS: “We know, especially in small towns things do happen,” she said. “It may be that even if a person has been to a particular site, we do our public health risk assessment and it may be that we don’t believe necessarily – because of the way the proprietor, or indeed the person and people who was there at the time – we may not necessarily think it’s a public exposure site because we’ve been able to find out who was there and be able to contact them individually and we’re confident no one is at risk. “It’s important we make sure we don’t talk about things without that confirmation information. There’s quite a lot that goes into considering and evaluating an exposure site as a risk. “If we are of the view and we can confidently know who was there and we’ve been able to contact them directly then there is no real need for them to be named as a public exposure site from a risk perspective. “Increasingly, especially our workplaces and our commercial businesses are very COVID-aware so increasingly we are very much able to contain that by talking to them.” To read all of the Ararat Advertiser’s coverage of the COVID situation in Ararat CLICK HERE
