Victoria records 950 COVID-19 cases, seven deaths

Victoria has traced a new daily record of 950 new coronavirus cases to midnight on Tuesday and seven people have died. None of the cases were acquired overseas. Victoria recorded 61,322 test results and 34,028 vaccinations. It comes after a case was announced for Horsham local government area on Tuesday, but the person who tested positive was in Melbourne and had been in Melbourne for their entire infectious period. OTHER NEWS: There are no exposure sites listed for the Wimmera as of Wednesday morning. A number of new Tier 2 coronavirus exposure sites have been listed in Ballan and Daylesford overnight. The dates range from September 24 until September 27 – over the long weekend. All of the sites have been listed as ‘Tier 2’, meaning people who visited the venue during the listed time must urgently be tested and isolate until a negative result is received.   • IGA Ballan- 135 Inglis Street, Ballan VIC 3342. A case attended the store on September 24 between 5.50pm and 6:30pm.
  • Ballan Newsagency – 133 Inglis Street, Ballan VIC 3342. A case attended the store on September 25 between 11am and 11.30am.
  • IGA Ballan- 135 Inglis Street, Ballan VIC 3342. A case attended the store on September 26 between 10.30am and 11.30am.
  • IGA Ballan- 135 Inglis Street, Ballan VIC 3342. A case attended the store on September 27 between 10.50am and 11.20am.
  • Coles Daylesford- Bridport Street, Daylesford VIC 3460. A case attended the store on September 26 between 6.30 and 7.00pm.
  • Cellarbrations Daylesford – 55 Vincent Street, Daylesford VIC 3460. A case attended the store on September 27 between 3.15pm and 4.15pm.
