Man to face court after allegedly fleeing police

The Northern Grampians policing unit had a busy Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, apprehending three alleged offenders for driving infringements and other offences. In Stawell a 51-year-old Stawell man will face the Stawell Magistrates’ Court after he allegedly decided to flee his car following a traffic stop. Stawell Police allege they pursued the man by foot before finding the him hiding in someone’s front yard a few streets away. In Ararat two people will face court after a series of alleged offences. Ararat police members have impounded a car driven by an alleged unlicenced female driver. The two occupants of the car are expected to front the Ararat Magistrates’ Court for alleged driving, theft and drug related offences. In Stawell a 51-year-old Stawell man will face the Stawell Magistrates’ Court after he allegedly decided to flee his car following a traffic stop.

Stawell Police allege they pursued the man by foot before finding the him hiding in someone’s front yard a few streets away.

The driver is to be charged on summons with an assortment of offences and has had his car impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1215.

In Ararat two people will face court after a series of alleged offences.

Ararat police members have impounded a car driven by an alleged unlicenced female driver.

The two occupants of the car are expected to front the Ararat Magistrates’ Court for alleged driving, theft and drug related offences.
